Ayres Small Bow Rocker Prince Tiernan

A beautiful antique bow rocking horse manufactured by F H Ayres fully restored.

Prince Tiernan has undergone a full restoration to include replacement ears, new gesso & paintwork,

with 'antiquing' & replacement genuine leather saddlery in the Ayres pattern.

He has an antique grey horse hair mane & tail to compliment his aged appearance.

His overall height is 35" maximum length of his bow 62.5" maximum width 14"

Unusually his bow was in excellent original condition with no woodworm or rot.

It is often the case that bows are infested with woodworm or damaged beyond repair, it is always a treat to find one in tact.

It was also decided to preserve the remains of original gesso that remained on the sides of his bow as this is all part of his history & charm.

Although a small sized horse he is fully suitable for riding & has been personally tested out by his restorer!
