Juno Extra Carved FH Ayres Rocking Horse 37in

Juno is an extra carved F H Ayres rocking horse. `Extra carving' means that the horse has been given extra muscle definition on his neck and hocks and has more refined carving on his face.  The rails of the stand are also given a `fluted' appearance compared to a plain carved horse.  He would have been more expensive to buy when new.

Juno is in lovely original playworn condition, so he retains some scars of his former life. He has been given the lightest of restorations, just his ears, one eye and a nostril have been replaced.  His head turns to the right.  He retains his beautiful decorative nails and his original bit.  He has lots of these decorative nails so may have been an extra special horse.  He has no rot or woodworm and is an ideal horse for a collector.
