Brassington & Cooke Very Rare 1915 Small Restored 32.25in

This is a small Brassington & Cooke rocking horse about 1915 cir. These horses are now very rare. They were supplied to the trade only and one retailer was Barr of Deansgate Manchester. This horse has this detail stenciled on the stand's base along with a number 1 on the end, this probably denotes the size.
The dapple has been applied lightly all over to match the original pattern. The old paintwork had gone but the original gesso is still intact underneath. 
The saddle blanket at the rear runs to a point to match the original pattern.
Al metalwork: stirrups, swinger bars, brackets, bit, ect, are original and have been repainted.
It has a new main, tail and forlock to original colour matched to the remains of the old.
All leather work is new.
The stand is made of pitch pine and is original. It has been cleaned and given three coats of varnish to seal and protect.
This horse was restored by Cherished Rocking Horses about three years ago. It is a very rare rocking horse and really hard to find.

The measurements are: saddle height = 24 3/4 inch (630mm).    To top of head =32 1/4 inch (820mm).      Chest to rump= 19 1/4 inch (490mm).      Length of base= 36 1/4 inch (920mm).
