Something a little unusual, an early extra carved F H Ayres rocking horse which has been stripped of gesso and then stained. 

 

This shows off the skill of the carver without any further embellishment.  Ebony has a real horsehair mane and tail and handmade English leather tack.  He stands at 38" high.
