LINES SPORTIBOY SIZE 1 c1921 CHARLIE fully restored with original features PERFECT PONY

A PERFECT LITTLE PONY ... superb example of a fully restored antique and early Lines Sportiboy rocking horse, Size 1, made in 1921

Charlie, a sweet and petite little rocking horse was made in 1921 at the Lines Brothers Hatcham Road factory, London. He has many original features including the rarer triangular metal badge logos fitted to the base of his stand, registered in 1919.

He has been fully and sympathetically restored to professional standards. All his metal work, including the nickel plated end caps on the top and hoof rails, are original. His removable saddle has survived over one hundred years of use, and has been restored and conserved. The rest of the tack is replacement new leather and his mane and tail set is new real horse hair on hide. He retains his original glass eyes. The safety stand is in excellent condition, his pillar joints to the base have been tightened.

Charlie will suit collectors due to his age and condition, or would make a wonderful nostalgic feature in any room.

Comes with a certificate of Restoration and Authenticity. Charlie's restoration was completed in September 2024 by Paul & MaryWheeler of 2 Bridgeland Cottages, Sheepwash, Devon.
